THE CONNECTION AT ST MARTIN-IN-THE FIELDS
They provide a range of specialist services that help people cope with the physical and psychological crisis of being homeless, whilst getting to the root cause of why someone has ended up on the streets.  Their holistic approach works with people to discover skills and talents which is empowering and helps people rebuild their lives.


They work with a variety of people including:

  • Single homeless people sleeping rough and those in temporary or insecure accommodation.

  • Homeless people who have mental health issues and/or drug/alcohol misuse problems

  • Rough sleepers with a long history of sleeping on the streets

  • Minority groups within the homeless population, including women, young people, elderly and refugees

  • Ex-servicemen and women who find the transition to civilian life difficult.

  • Homeless ex-offenders or those with a repeated pattern of offending​

THIS CENTRE OFFERS THE ABILITY TO SHOWER AND WASH YOUR LAUNDRY.
You will also have access to telephones & computers and there is an NHS medical service with nurses & a podiatrist on Wednesday mornings. There is a café serving low cost and nutritious food.

SAINT JAMES
They are widely representative of partnered and single people, straight, gay and transgendered, those who have a sure Christian faith and those who struggle with belief.  You'll find amongst them those who can be described as orthodox in their faith and affirmations, others who might be termed progressive.

ST MUNGOS
They provide a bed and support at night to the homeless and those at risk.  They offer emergency, hostel and supportive housing projects, advice services and specialist physical health, mental health, skills and work services.

NEW HOPE – HOPE HOUSE
They provide eight accommodation services, with up to 61 beds available, every night, located in Watford.  You may need a referral for this Hostel however, it would depend on your circumstances.

CHURCH HOMELESS TRUST 
This organisation supports people who have been homeless, by funding the help they need to rebuild their lives. They provide funding for emergency beds during the Winter.  They also fund basis essentials such as food parcels and packs of toiletries for people coming to Hostels with nothing.  They pay for clothes and travel so they can start volunteering or working.  They help people to become more confident and healthy through cooking and nutrition workshops, life skills training, and personal support that builds self-esteem.
